Care tips to keep your sofa bed looking beautiful for years
Initial Condition
When your sofa bed arrives, it is ready to use and carefully upholstered in your selected fabric. Before regular use, we recommend gently checking the fabric, seams and moving parts to make sure everything is positioned correctly after delivery.
Daily Care
Vacuum the upholstery regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust, crumbs and everyday debris. This helps keep the fabric fresh and prevents particles from settling into the fibres.
Cleaning Spills
If a spill occurs, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can push the liquid deeper into the fabric or affect the texture. For more noticeable marks, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with clean water and test on a hidden area first.
Fabric Protection
Keep your sofa bed away from direct sunlight where possible, as prolonged exposure may cause the fabric colour to fade over time. Avoid placing it too close to radiators, fireplaces or other strong heat sources.
Sofa Bed Mechanism
Open and close the sofa bed gently, following the natural movement of the mechanism. Do not force the frame if it feels blocked. Make sure bedding, cushions or other items are not caught inside before closing.
Cushion Care
To maintain the shape and comfort of the cushions, gently plump and rotate them from time to time where possible. This helps the sofa keep its original look and prevents uneven wear.
Recommended Care
For deeper cleaning, we recommend using a professional upholstery cleaning service. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach-based cleaners or soaking the fabric, as these may damage the upholstery or affect the colour.
